August is Tai Chi Seminars Month
BKF_eNEWS September 2010
Official newsletter of Buddha Kung Fu
Press Page at BuddhaKungFu.com
At the bottom of each BuddhaKungFu.com webpage is a link titled, "Press."
This month's uploaded flyer is our full-size "Kung Fu Kids / Tai Chi" flyer.
I found our last version of 2-Strike Flyers. I'm posting it so you can evaluate it and provide feedback.
NOTE: The 818 330... phone number is no longer valid. That was my home number. To cut costs, I only use my cell phone number: 818-723-2769.
Although kids are more aggressive (in video games) they have become more complacent and less competitive in "real" sports. Same with adults. As you've seen in the past two years of experimenting with flyers and advertisements, we have yet to strike a nerve or tap into the inner motivations of today's youth or adults.
As people focus more on survival, they hunger less for spirituality, self-development, or even physical fitness. I hope the economy improves so that people will again pursue these advanced personal goals.

4. -- Buddha Kung Fu DEMO TEAM --
Since 2008, when I launched Buddha Kung Fu, I have been working on this 2-man Staff Drill.
It goes by several names. My favorite was, "Four Corners."
I added an extra staff sweep on each end of the Form. (The opponent must jump over the staff or get hit in the ankles.
I added 3 extra runs of the drill making it four times as long. Each of these runs has a different staff grip...
I don't think I could make it any better. It took me three years.
Wow.

It was drizzling in the park, so I put my cowboy hat on. Disciple Shawn shot the video of me and posted it with my permission.

7. -- STUFF of Buddha Kung Fu --
Disciple Shawn says he has some new ideas and designs for our T-Shirts.
We're going to be releasing a new line of "light weight" shirts that may be preferable for strenuous Kung Fu workouts.
Each student should have at least three shirts. Never wear shirts more than one day before washing them.

Buddhist Path of American Zen L1 - part 2
All students/disciples are following my instructions in these newsletters? Right?!
Okay. So you've travelled the ENTIRE LEVEL 1 website section of American Zen's website at www.americanZEN.org
NOW, let's travel LEVEL 1's ALBUM WEBSITE.
Each LEVEL of American Zen's four levels has its own website:
LEVEL1peaceOFmind.com
LEVEL2christKILLER.com
LEVEL3iWANTyoutoLOVEme.com
LEVEL4kungfuCOWBOY.com
Before we venture to the LEVEL 2 section, take a journey through the LEVEL 1 ALBUM WEBSITE. This is not a part of the www.americanZEN.org website. Completely separate.
This was designed by reading a book on website design that instructed me to create a separate website for each product. I purchased a bunch more domain names to accomplish this...
So take a trip over to LEVEL1peaceOFmind.com and see what I made. I hope you enjoy it.
Next month we'll venture through the "CHRIST KILLER" website section. Since it will be October, and people like scary stuff for Halloween, this will be an appropriate website for next month.
Have fun, and remember, LEVEL 1 is the pursuit of "PEACE OF MIND."
9. -- KUNG FU News --

10. -- TAI CHI News --
Our Tai Chi Form is the YANG STYLE Tai Chi Short Form passed down from Marshall Ho, at Griffith Park in the early 1980s.
Now that the Chinese Olympics are over, and Tai Chi was excluded from the Olympics, it will be interesting to see where the world looks for Tai Chi. The BEIJING OLYMPIC FORMS are less significant now. Even WuShu has less viability in the future, as it was created by the Chinese government and lacks the family and tradition of all other Kung Fu styles.
Buddha Kung Fu uses the TAI CHI SHORT FORM of SHAOLIN CHI MANTIS. This has several modifications from the Tai Chi Form taught by Master Ho.
Tai Chi is a DAOIST MARTIAL ART:
